When CapitaLand purchased Shanghai Innov Center in 2017, new goals were set for the new landmark - to be a shining example of the green operation.

CapitaLand has many facilities with LEED certification, the corporate’s longtime familiarity and involvement with the US Green Building Council and its LEED rating system and the help from the experienced LEED project team, led to certification for CapitaLand Innov Center under LEED EB V4 Platinum.

The curtain wall structure brings the tenants with quality views. It must be very pleasant to work here - one can gaze through the window at any time. A great view can cure anything - whether you were stressed from coding, or had a bad day with over-demanding customer, or had a fight with your partner, there is nothing better than enjoying a grant view from the window.

No parking above ground (except priority parking). Mechanical parking is designed and built in Tower 2 and Tower 3, with underground parking space, reducing heat island effect.

For the entire campus, vegetation rate is 15%, with roof gardens on Tower 4 and Tower 5. It’s not just an office campus – it’s a romantic campus.

The project worked very hard on water conservation. The bathroom faucet did not meet the team’s water saving expectation at first. The team decided to install aerators for all faucets, maximizing water conservation and water heating energy consumption. Such low cost - high ROI strategy determines succeed in water conservation strategy.

As for energy conservation, thanks to the design team, all three buildings were designed and built as energy conserving buildings. Tower 1 uses air source heat pump. It conserves energy, water, and proves to be environmental friendly HVAC system. For Tower 2 and Tower 3, VRV system are in place, with high energy efficiency.

The property cleaning team is the most important team of the LEED certification. It is no exaggeration to say that the campus is spotless. During the custodial audit, the auditor – self-announced as an obsessive neat-freak - were almost tempted to move its office to CapitaLand because of its cleanness. The campus is not only clean, but also environmental friendly; the team categorizes waste, and maximize recycle possibility. In addition, the cleaning products used in the project are healthy environmentally friendly products, and the cleaning equipment are energy-saving and environmentally-friendly ergonomic equipment.
